Is Freemasonry A Sect?

The answer is clearly NO.

A sect is defined by the fact that it is easy to enter but practically impossible to leave. The adepts are mind-washed, isolated from former contacts and family, and follow blindly what they are told to do.

On the contrary, it is not easy to enter Freemasonry, but very easy to leave it if you are not happy. You simply resign by writing a letter to your Lodge. What’s more, if you do not follow the moral principles of the Order, you can also be disbarred from the Obedience.
